Breakfast Seminar: Dave Sawyer on North America Climate Policy - Past, Present, Future - June 16

posted Jun 7, 2011 7:08 AM by Air & Waste Management Association Ottawa Valley Chapter   [ updated Nov 20, 2011 6:00 AM ]
Dave Sawyer, Director of Climate Change and Energy for the International Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD), will present a short history of climate change policy in North America and then look into his crystal ball to hypothesize what may emerge in the near term future for Canada. In order to do this, he will dissect the kitchen sink of provincial and federal policies already out there and then overview some of the challenges of developing a national climate policy. The repercussions of an everchanging US climate change policy and the latest carbon pricing versus regulation fashions will also be discussed.
