Post date: Jun 7, 2011 2:08:43 PM

Dave Sawyer, Director of Climate Change and Energy for the International Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD), presented a short history of climate change policy in North America and then looked into his crystal ball to hypothesize what may emerge in the near term future for Canada. In order to do this, he dissected the kitchen sink of provincial and federal policies already out there to overview some of the challenges of developing a national climate policy. The repercussions of an everchanging US climate change policy and the latest carbon pricing versus regulation fashions were also discussed.
