December 11th Breakfast Seminar and AGM

The Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association (A&WMA) held their breakfast seminar and Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 7:30 a.m at the Broadway Bar and Grill.

Our guest speaker was Pedro Goncalo from RWDI Air Inc., who presented "The role of science based design in creating cities, neighbourhoods and buildings". Pedro discussed some of the tools and techniques that are being used to quantify our environment and predict design performance in particular as it relates to microclimate, thermal comfort, pedestrian wind environment, energy consumption and production. The presentation willl also reflect on how advances in analysis techniques now allows for immediate qualitative and quantitative feedback on design issues. The event poster is available for download below.

A breakfast buffet is included in the registration cost and will be available before the commencement of the presentation. Following the presentation there will be a question and answer period and an opportunity to network with colleagues. The Broadway Bar and Grill is located at 345A Preston just south of the 417.
