Presented by Colette Preston
Colette Preston is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental and Life Sciences at Trent University in Peterborough, ON. Her research concerns the atmospheric dispersal and resuspension of microplastics, with an emphasis on the potential emissions of microplastics from agricultural fields treated with biosolids. This project includes field research using a portable in-situ erosion laboratory (PI-SWERL) and research in the Trent University Environmental Wind Tunnel (TEWT).
A&WMA OVC's Annual General Meeting will take place immediately after the presentation and is free for member to attend.
2020 has brought unprecedented changes and challenges to the environment and our working lives. With that in mind, we are proud to present a 3-part webinar series entitled Climate, Environment & Quarantine to learn how our environment and practices are changing due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. This series will explore 3 main issues:
Panel 1: New Methods for Managing Waste
Panel 2: Adapting Environmental Methods for COVID-19
Panel 3: Long-Term Environmental Trends in a Post COVID-19 Economy
Like all of our workshops, the learning does not stop at the presentations. The session is designed to allow for discussion amongst enthusiastic professionals and allow participants to meet our speakers.
